Under the Sea baby showers are a fun way to welcome the new baby. All Pets Cherished Kids Decor has designed some adorable baby shower invitations and matching accessories for your next under the sea party.
Our Calypso 002 is a colorful under the sea invitation. It features a pretty blue background with sporadic trendy blue dots. Our whimsical graphics include a red crab, green octopus and a turquoise fish. This invitation is very tropical and inviting, and works well for boy or girl baby showers!

Chocolate Coffee Spoons

If you are looking for a super easy favor, look no further! Chocolate coffee spoons are an easy favor that you can create. They are also a fun favor to make with kids. Your chocolate spoons can be given as gifts, used as favors, or just an extra special “treat” that you savor for yourself.
Supplies needed:
1 bag of milk or dark chocolate (wafers or chips)
1 bag of white or orange chocolate (wafers or chips)
wax paper
cookie sheet
plastic spoons (for a more elegant look use high quality spoons or colored ware)
plastic bag
scissors
ribbon

We also have favor tags for sale to add to your favors. If you are looking for a particular theme, or need custom tags, we can create them for you.
Supplies you will need to make chocolate coffee spoons
Instructions:
1. Line a cookie sheet with wax paper. Place one color of chocolate in a microwave safe bowl, and microwave for 1 minute on 50% power. (or use a double boiler). Stir and microwave at 50% power for 15 second intervals until the chocolate is melted. Stir in between. We used about 25 wafers for our first 4 spoons, and then had to put another handful in and melt them down again to create 14 full-chocolate spoons.
2. Dip your plastic spoon in the chocolate and cover the spoon completely. We chose to make ours very chocolatey, giving each spoon a full scoop of chocolate. You can decide if you want a lot or just a “taste” of chocolate on every spoon. Align each spoon on the cookie sheet with the handle resting on the rim of the cookie sheet, so the chocolate stays puddled in the spoon. (Yum!)

3. Put contrasting color of chocolate in a small ziplock bag. We used about 10 white chocolate wafers. Microwave on 50% power for 1 minute. Use your fingers on outside of bag to knead chocolate, and then continue to microwave on 50% power at 15-second intervals until chocolate in bag is completely melted.
4. Snip a tiny hole in one bottom corner of the plastic bag. Add “icing” to your chocolate spoons in a piping bag style fashion. We used a back and forth motion to drizzle it over the dark chocolate. Our attempt at polkadots did not work as well, but with some practice, anything is possible!

5. Put cookie sheet tray in refrigerator. Meanwhile, print out our free tags on thick paper or cardstock. Each printout will have 4-tags per sheet, so print as many as you need for your spoons. We combined 3 spoons into one bag for a total of 4 favors. (The two left over were for us!)
Cut out the tags, score and fold in half. Add your personalized message to the tags.

6. Once your spoons have hardened, add them to your clear bags however you wish. You can make individual favors, pairs or three in a bag as we did. Tie the bag with ribbon. Punch a hole in the favor tag and attach to favors. *Our free favor tags have a “front” and a “back”, so we used a clear piece of tape to fasten the front and back together.*
Ideas:
Alternate chocolate colors for contrast.
Try adding different colors (like butterscotch chips) for even more contrast and flavor.
Crush peppermint candy canes and add to chocolate before refrigeration.
Use red and green cutlery for a festive look.
These are not just for coffee!! Add to hot cocoa for an extra special treat.
